Pro-Kurdish solidarity protest in Prague

More than 100 demonstrators gathered in Prague, Czech Republic to protest and march in solidarity with Syrian Kurds in Kobani (also referred to as Ayn al-Arab or Kobane) near the Turkish-Syrian border who are threatened by ISIS forces. After a short rally near Dejvicka metro station, the group marched to the Turkish embassy chanting, “ISIS – Erdogon – CIA – him many people killed today!” and “Down – Down – Er-do-gon!” to demand stronger military action to combat the Islamic State militants who have taken a large portion of Kobani. Turkey so far has refused to let Kurdish PKK fighters cross the boarder into Syria from Turkey to help defend the city against ISIS.
