Boarding Busses headed for Michigan's State Capitol at the Northwest Activities Center in Detroit, Metro Detroit residents prepare for a day of protest to defend their public water system, the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department.

Increasingly, the current trend, across the globe, has been for multinational corporations to take control of public water resources. As a basic element to survive, these corporations see the benefit of controlling such a vital resource. Limitless profits. These citizens along, with others around the world, are speaking out against these corporations and the focus on profit over the rights of people and their communities.
